Coconut shell, Clock mechanism. approx 30cm high.
This was a joke about the way time passed in the Art School. We had all the time in the world (well, in a university year)
to make art, so we were pretty relaxed about it. On the odd occassion the clock worked at all, it still wasn't very accurate,
because the upper section of the shell wasn't attached to the base, it just rested on it, and I'd deliberately put no numerals on
the dial, so you could arbitrarily 'set' the time by moving the whole body around.
I'd like to be a professional artist one day, and this piece pretty much sums up why. I want my working hours to be like this.
