Fibreglass mannequin limb, Aluminium, Perspex jug, Electrical fitting. 60cm high.
This piece was the first of the mannequin lamp series. It's an essay on the appaling colours of kitchen kitsch
circa 1950-60. You know the stuff I mean. The prim virtuous housewife bakealite nightmare that America descended
into in the 50's, and Australia's inevitable following suit. The green is taken directly from kitchen implements of the era,
and the base is an aluminium saucepan lid dating from the time before everyone knew the stuff caused Alzheimer's.
